City Lawyer Omari writes to court over inordinate delay in issuing directions in case filed yesterday challenging KCPE results.

City Lawyer Dastan Omari has written a letter to the high court Milimani over the inordinate delay in issuing directions of the case filed on Monday challenging last week’s KCPE results.

In the letter to the Deputy Registrar, Omari raised concern over the delay in issuing of directions in the matter that was filed under a certificate of urgency.

In the case, they were seeking for the suspension of the form one selection process pending hearing of their case.

Omari says the matter is of national concern and the urgency of the same cannot be possible emphasized by any party before court.

“Despite the fact that the matter was actioned to Justice Lawrence Mugambi on Monday for directions, the same are to be given” Omari said.

He further says that the decision by Mugambi not to issue directions, is delayed justice for the hundreds of students.

“The future of the Kenyan child is pegged on the decision of this court on this matter as the children need to progress to their next stage in the education system,” the letter reads.
