Three suspects linked to the murder of Meru blogger Sniper detained for three weeks.

Three suspects who are linked to the murder of Meru blogger Daniel Muthiani alias Sniper have been detained for 21 days by a Kibera court.

Kibera Senior Resident Magistrate William Lokopoiyot allowed the police time to detain the three suspects so as to complete investigations.

The three are Bonface Githinji Njihia, Brian Mwenda and Grace Kathambi Kithinji.

In theie application, the DCI said they needed enough time to unravel the complexity nature of murder among them tracing the last movement of the deceased person.

“We have more evidence that have vital information more other persons linked to the Murder, also the phones recovered from the suspect are yet to be taken to the Laboratory for examinations, ” reads court papers

Detective Geofrey Tegei told the court that justice to the victims and his family will not be attained if the suspects are released before the investigations are completed.

Sniper was brutally murdered and police have been investigating his death with the Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza’s aides and relatives being at the centre of the investigations.

Over the weekend, the Governor’s home was cordoned off and secured to be a crime scene in the said investigations that has led to arrest and detention of several people.
