Police want to detain woman in the ‘Mathe wa ngara’ saga for a further five days

The police now want to hold Teresia Wanjiru for further five days to allow them conclude investigations into the drug trafficking offense.

Wanjiru was arrested last week with allegedly over Sh 13 Million in cash and several sacks of drugs suspected to be Bhang.

In an application filed at the JKIA court, the police have told court that they have not concluded investigations and need more time.

The investigating officer Sgt Stephen Chesire says they are still waiting for a response from
CBK on whether they will keep the Sh 13 M recovered from Wanjiru pending hearing of the case.

Chesire further says that the drugs recovered are yet to be sampled.

This even as Wanjiru family mantains that she is not involved in drugs and police want to fix her.

The case will be heard today at 2 pm
