Petrocity Petrol station employees in court for stealing 70,000 liters of diesel worth 13 M.

Four employees of Petrocity Energy Ltd have been charged with stealing over 70,000 liters of diesel valued at Sh 13 million.

Douglas Macharia Maina, Dominic Kimotho, Evans Njuguna Mweha and Lewis Musau Masaku were charged before a Milimani Law court.

It is alleged that on diverse dates between November and December 2023, they conspired to steal seventy thousand liters of diesel worth Ksh 13,589,000.

Douglas Macharia was separately charged with retaining thirty thousand liters of diesel worth Ksh 5,820,000 knowing or having reason to believe that they were stolen.

They denied the charges before Milimani Principal Magistrate Bernard Ochoi and asked court to release them on reasonable bail.

They were released on a bond of Ksh 2 million each with an alternative cash bail of Ksh 500,000.
