The victims in the case where two directors at TRV Towers have been charged with stealing over Sh 112 M from the company have protested the delay of trial asking court to fast track the matter.
Lawyer Justice Mutava said his clients feel prejudiced given the fact that the case has never kicked off since the accused persons took plea in 2024.
Mutava representing the complainants who are victims in the case said his clients are really prejudiced because at the current rate they don’t know when the case will ever start given the fact that the prosecution has always been approaching the court with an excuse ever since the plea was taken.
The complainants have so far asked the court to review the earlier on set bail terms stating interference of the company’s accounts by the accused persons.
Justice Mutava requested the court to make firm directions for the case to progress.
In the case, Tribhovan Anlalji Chavada and his son Jayesh Rribovan Chavda, both directors of TRV Towers limited are charged stealing Sh 112 million from the company.
According to the charge sheet, the two directors on diverse dates between October 18, 2019 and July 31, 2023 allegedly stole sh 112 M, money which came to his possession by virtue of his employment as the managing director TRV Towers.
Chavada senior was charged alongside his son Jayesh Rribovan Chavda for allegedly conspiring to defraud TRV Towers limited Sh 112M.
They both faced another charge of unlawfully making Bank of Baroda account opening documents purporting them to be genuine.
