A University of Nairobi business student who tweeted that Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua had offered Sh 230 M to have MP Ndindi Nyoro killed has been charged.
Silvance Adongo Abeta was on Tuesday charged before a Milimani Court with charges of Publishing false information contrary to section 23 of Computer Misuse and Cyber Crime Act.
It is alleged that on September 3rd 2023, Abeta published information about Deputy President of Kenya, Hon. Rigathi Gachagua on his twitter account saying that the DP was planning to have Ndindi Nyoro killed.
“My NIS sources believe that, the Nairobian Newspaper will be reporting confirmed bounty rumours about Kenya’s president Rigathi Gachagua AKA Riggy G wanting Ndindi Nyoro dead at a cost of Sh 230m. It’s supposed to look like his blood brother’s assassination accident” the post reads.
He denied the charged before Chief Magistrate Susan Shitubi at was released on Sh 300,000 bond with an alternative cash bail of Sh 100,000.
