Nelson Ibrahim Kidero, also known as Nelson Muriithi, has pleaded guilty to unlawfully entering the Parliament premises in violation of Section 31(a) of the Parliamentary Powers and Privileges Act.
Kidero appeared before Principal Magistrate Ben Mark Ekhubi at the Milimani Law Courts on Friday, where he admitted to jumping over the perimeter fence of Parliament three times.
According to the charge sheet, the incident took place on the night of August 7 at around 9:30 p.m., when Kidero was discovered in the parking area of Bunge Towers without proper authorization.
In his defense, Kidero claimed he was on a mission to locate his 13 wives asserting that three of them were inside the Parliament building, while the remaining ten were in the courtroom. He named some of his alleged spouses, including popular TikToker Miss Njagi, socialite Amber Ray, and a woman identified only as Mary, adding that “the rest know themselves.“
The courtroom was momentarily stunned when Kidero turned to the magistrate and commented on his appearance, saying, “You look very handsome.“
Following the unusual remarks and behavior, the prosecution requested that Kidero undergo a mental evaluation at Mathare Hospital. They have asked the court to grant 14 days for the assessment
