Man Arraigned After Being Arrested Transporting His Wife’s Dismembered Body.

A man suspected to have chopped his wife into pieces after finding her with another man has been arraigned before a Nairobi by the DCI

The Police are seeking time to detain John Wambua who was intercepted carrying Joy Frida Munani’s body parts by the police.

The state has requested the court to detain Wambua in order to allow them to complete of investigations into murder allegations.

According to an affidavit filed in court, the police state that they are investigating the suspect for murder.

It is alleged that on January 20, Wambua was seen carrying a suspicious bag on his back and when he was stopped and searched by officers, the bag was found to contain human body parts concealed in a cement carrier.

Police claim that during interrogation, Wambua led them to his house, where additional body parts were discovered hidden beneath the bed.

The court was told that Wambua reportedly confessed to the officers that the remains belonged to his wife, Joy Fridah.

“The suspect admitted to killing his wife following an argument after finding her with another man. He confessed to dismembering the body in an attempt to dispose of it,” reads court papers.

Further it is alleged that Police from Huruma Police Station, in collaboration with the Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau, conducted a site analysis and recovered one of the alleged murder weapons.

Police said they need more time because several critical aspects of the investigation are still pending, including notifying the victim’s family and recording statements from key witnesses.
