Late MP Were’s Bodyguard And Driver Arraigned in Court For His Murder.

Late Kasipul MP Charles Were’s bodyguard and driver were on Wednesday arraigned before a Milimani court to be charged with the murder of their late boss who was shot by a gunman on Ngong road.

Isaac Kuria and Allan Omondi Ogolla were presented virtually before Justice Margaret Muigai but they did not plead to the charges.

The prosecution told court that they needed time to be enable them take the two for mental assessment before they are formally charged.

The two appeared virtually in court from the DCI Headquarters as they have been in custody since their arrest last month.

The state told court that Court that the suspects are being held separately and will be presented in court separately as they pursue other investigative and prosecutorial measures including plea bargaining.

Justice Muigai allowed the application and ordered that the suspects will be held at Kamiti prison until June 18 when they will be presented to take plea.
