IG Kanja Distances The Police From Abductions Says None is in Their Custody.

The Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja on Thursday distanced the police from the ongoing abductions and maintained that none of the three Mlolongo three are in their custody.

While appearing before Justice Chacha Mwita, Kanja told court under oath that the three men are not in police custody as has been suspected.

Kanja was sued in his capacity by petitioners representing the missing persons alleged to have been abducted by police.

Kanja told court that reports of the missing persons were made at Athi River and Mulolongo police station

“When information was made at those two police stations, I directed the DCI to commence investigations under the lead investigator Mr. Paul Wachira who is an assistant Director General.” Kanja said

He said he is a Law abiding citizen who respects courts the orders issued at any given time.
