Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has been barred from going to his offices in Kitale for 60 days as one of the conditions for his release on bail.
The county boss has been released on a Sh 500,000 cash bail and along with two contact persons.
Senior Principal Magstrate Charles Ondieki has put stringent terms for Natembeya.
Ondieki said he should not go to the county headquarters for 60 days to allow police secure evidence of any in that office.
He has also been warned not to talk about the merits of the case in the media.
Further, he has been ordered not to leave the country and deposit his passport in court.
In his ruling, the magistrate dismissed the application by the prosecution to deny the governor bail saying there are no compelling reasons to deny him bail.
