A former DCI detective on Wednesday narrated to a Nairobi court how a woman spiked his drink at a local bar in Juja and stole over Sh 1.5 M with her other accomplices.
Paul Maigo told court while testifying in a case of stupefying that he was defrauded by a woman and her two accomplices who he met at the club that evening.
The court heard that Maingo had taken one his colleagues home and on his way back he decided to take one for the road at a local pub.
Maingo says he entered into the bar and secured a table then ordered his usual drink.
According to him, a few minutes after, three people two women and a man came to his table and requested to join him.
Maingo says at that time he had already ordered for his drink and so he allowed their request.
He said that one of the women introduced herself as Janet, and according to the Detective, that was the last conversation he could remember having with the lady that night because he woke up the next morning unconscious in his car.
The suspects arrested for stealing from Maingo
He told court that he was shocked to find himself the following morning abandoned in his car and with his valuables missing.
Maingo said they took his wristwatch valued at over Sh 150,000, two Samsung phones valued Sh 155,000 and two of his bank ATMs cards which they used to withdraw money.
He says found out that the suspects had withdrawn over Sh 1.2 Million from his bank accounts using the ATM cards they stole from him.
