Former Nairobi Governor Evan Kidero was on Friday charged afresh in the 58 M corruption case that has been ongoing in court.
This is after the DPP amended the charge sheet that Kidero and his co accused were charged with when they first appeared in court.
He pleaded not guilty to the counts of conspiracy to commit corruption, unlawful acquisition of public property and money laundering.
In the first counts it was alleged that on diverse dates between January 6 and 16 2014, jointly with others before court conspired to commit corruption by defrauding the Nairobi County Sh 58 Million.
The state has also alleged that on January 8 of the same year, Kidero being a governor unlawfully acquired Sh 14.4 M from CUPS Ltd which was part of the Sh 58 M illegally paid by the county to the Law firm of Wachira, Mburu, Mwangi and company advocates.
Trial magistrate Felix Kombo granted him the same bail terms that he was given when he was initially charged.
