Brian Mwenda who is alleged to be a fake lawyer representing clients in court but has no papers will be presented at the DCI tomorrow by his lawyer Danstan Omari.
In a letter to the DCI, Omari says he represents Mwenda and they will heed to the summons to appear and set the record straight.
Omari says his client was made aware of the publicised controversies pertaining the LSK announcements about him being a fake lawyer.
“Our client wishes to reiterate his unequivocal willingness to assist in any investigations if any all intent on setting the record straight” the letter reads.
Omari says he would have taken Mwenda to the DCI today but due to a court case he is engaged in at JKIA law courts he won’t be available today but will take him tomorrow at noon.
“We therefore write seeking that any summons or actions against our client be held in abeyance until October 18 at noon when he will avail himself to record a statement duly represented by counsel of choice,” the letter states.
Mwenda was thrown in the limelight last week when LSK issued a statement claiming that he is a quack masquerading as a lawyer.
