A city doctor who is alleged to have threatened to kill a contractor who renovated his hospital after a dispute over payment has been charged.
Dr Duncan Chengo was on Monday arraigned before a Nairobi court and charged with threatening to kill.
Chengo a proprietor of Ability Therapy Place Limited at Kenyatta Market was charged with threatening to kill contractor John Maina Wangeci on March 18, 2023.
According to police reports, Maina had allegedly been contracted byChengo to renovate his hospital, after finishing his work he opted to go back to the hospital to collect his money.
However, Chengo allegedly turned violent and started threatening to shoot the contractor forcing him to seek assistance from Capitol Hill Police Station.
He denied the charge before Magistrate Gilbert Shikwe and was released on Ksh 100,000 bond with an alternative cash bail of Ksh 50,000.
