Case Against University Student Who Tweeted Ruto’s Coffin Fails to Proceed.

The case in which University Student David Mokaya was charged with posting a picture of President William Ruto’s coffin on his X account failed to proceed yet today.

Mokaya appeared before Magistrate Ben Ekhubi for the hearing on his case but the prosecution said their witness was not available in court.

The prosecution said they had bonded the witness but he was out of Nairobi thus not available to testify.

Magistrate Ekhubi in his directions adjourned the hearing to July 31 and directed the DPP to serve Mokaya’s lawyers with the statements of bonded witness’s

He also told the prosecution to serve the defense with cyber crime investigation reports.

This is the last time that the matter is being adjourned as the court gave the prosecution the last chance to either be ready to proceed on July 31 or withdraw the matter.

Mokaya’s lawyer Danstan Omari and LSK had earlier on asked the prosecution whether the president will be a witness in the matter.
