Blogger Ndiangui Kinyagia, who had been reported missing for over a week, has contacted his family confirming he is alive, safe, and in good health.
In an official statement released by Wahome Thuku on behalf of Ndiangui’s family, it was revealed that Ndiangui reached out to a family member on Tuesday evening from an undisclosed location. He explained that he had gone into hiding after learning that officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) were seeking him in connection with undisclosed criminal allegations.
According to the statement, Ndiangui expressed concern for his safety, stating that he feared for his life, which led him to temporarily go off the grid.
However, he has now indicated his willingness to present himself to the DCI and to appear before a court of law, but only when there are assurances of his safety and security.
The family has since advised him to surrender himself to the High Court at Milimani Law Courts today, Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
His return is expected to shed more light on the mystery surrounding his disappearance and the circumstances that led him to go into hiding.
