A Nairobi businesswoman, Stella Anne Mutheu Osewe, has been charged with multiple counts of forgery and uttering false documents in connection with Ranalo Foods Dala Limited, a company at the center of a bitter ownership dispute.
According to the charge sheet filed on October 15, 2025, Osewe allegedly forged several company documents on or about August 1, 2022, including a purported resignation letter and affidavit of resignation allegedly signed by William Osewe Guda, one of the company’s directors.
Prosecutors claim the accused falsified the documents to suggest that Mr. Guda had resigned as a director and transferred his shares, acts which the complainant maintains never occurred.
She faces a total of twelve counts, among them false statement by a company official, forgery, and uttering false documents offences contrary to Sections 329(a), 345, 349, and 353 of the Penal Code.
The prosecution alleges that Osewe knowingly presented the forged documents to the Director of Business Registration Services in an attempt to alter the company’s directorship records.
Osewe denied all charges when she appeared before Senior Principal Magistrate Mark Ekhubi, who released her on a cash bail of Sh 250,000 or an alternative bond of Sh 500,000.
